Tom Cruise (Maverick)

Tom Cruise’s performance as Maverick solidified his status as a Hollywood icon. Before Top Gun, Cruise had already appeared in several films, but this role marked a turning point in his career. Kelly McGillis played Charlotte "Charlie" Blackwood, the love interest of Maverick. Val Kilmer (Iceman)

Rick Rossovich (Slider)

Meg Ryan (Carole)
