ICE Agents Confirm Presence in Vallejo on Friday Morning

Community Response to ICE and FBI Activity in Vallejo
On Friday morning, a video surfaced on social media showing a man being held down by agents on the hood of a car in front of a Starbucks and Chevron gas station on Lincoln Road. This incident led to the involvement of ICE and FBI agents at 10:20 a.m. in Vallejo. The North Bay Rapid Response Network confirmed the presence of these agents but has not yet been able to verify if a detention occurred.
In the video, a woman repeatedly shouts, “That’s my husband” while also crying, “You saw this. No!” This moment captured the attention of many, sparking concerns within the community about the actions of federal agencies in local areas.
The North Bay Rapid Response Network released a statement on Friday afternoon, addressing the situation. They mentioned that they are aware of the presence of ICE and FBI agents at the Chevron gas station on Lincoln Road. However, they have not been able to confirm whether any detention took place. The network emphasized that this is the only location where officers were confirmed, and there are no other reported sightings within the city of Vallejo.
Vallejo Mayor Andrea Sorce reached out to the community through a news release, urging residents to follow the North Bay Rapid Response Network for accurate and up-to-date information. She acknowledged the fear felt by many after confirmed ICE activity in Vallejo today and earlier this week. Sorce stressed the importance of standing together, staying alert, and avoiding the spread of misinformation. She encouraged people to call the rapid response line at (707) 800-4544 if they witness anything.
“Vallejo runs on the strength of our community,” Sorce said. “I stand with our community all day, every day. Thank you to all of those who are working tirelessly to keep us connected and safe.”
The North Bay Rapid Response Network also urged individuals with first-hand information, especially those with loved ones being detained, to contact them via their hotline number (707) 800-4544.
As of 8 p.m. on Friday night, the Vallejo Police Department could not be reached for comment.
Earlier this year, Mayor Sorce confirmed that there had been at least 21 cases of ICE activity in Vallejo in 2025. She shared insights and resources gained from the U.S. Conference of Mayors gathering in Washington, D.C., where she met with mayors from across the Bay Area and the country. During this event, discussions focused on successful practices regarding immigration enforcement.
“We discussed the advocacy of mayors around the country on pushing back on ICE tactics that are being used now and especially the horrific situation in Minneapolis,” Sorce said in February. “I’ve already spoken with our city manager and our police chief to implement some of those practices,” she added.
Sorce mentioned that the city is working on a website that will provide information on the city's and the Vallejo Police Department’s position on immigration and enforcement. This initiative aims to reinforce that Vallejo police do not conduct any immigration enforcement or collaborate with ICE.
Separately, Sorce highlighted the importance of making residents aware of what the Vallejo Police Department and the Solano County Sheriff’s Department uniforms and vehicles look like. “Because ICE agents who go into communities often wear uniforms that say, ‘Police,’ we want to make sure our residents know what the Vallejo Police Department and the Solano County Sheriff’s Department uniforms and vehicles look like,” she explained. “That’s so when they see our law enforcement officers in the community, they know they are not ICE.”
This information will be disseminated through videos and community meetings with impacted groups to ensure everyone receives it.
